A Mac & Cheese-y Dinner by Chef Danny Kievet (South Lamar)

Before the Austin Mac and Cheese Festival takes over Star Hill Ranch on November 16, you can kick things off with an intimate night inside Antonelli’s Cheese Community Tasting Room on South Lamar. Luxury private chef Danny Kievit will lead a five course mac and cheese tasting where each dish is built around a different world class cheese and paired with a wine that knows how to make it shine. 

This is not just mac and wine night. It is a full blown flavor trip where nostalgia meets fine dining and leaves you questioning why you ever settled for the powdered stuff. Expect indulgence, expect a little chaos, and expect to walk out knowing that mac and cheese just grew up in front of your eyes.

 

This is a collaboration between Antonelli's Cheese, Leave it to Kievit, and Austin Mac & Cheese Festival.

Beverages?

Water and 5 wines (3 ounce pours each) are included.  Additionally, you may purchase beverages at the event, selecting from wine, beer, cider, non-alcoholic beer, mocktails, and sparkling water.  Note: This is not a BYOB location. 

Reserved Seating

We assign seats prior to your event. If you wish to sit with guests who are purchasing separately, we must be notified in advance. At the time of ticket purchase, there is a question prompt for you to list others in your group. Please note that we cannot seat groups larger than 8 at the same table. (Big groups? Check out our FAQs.)

Dietary Restrictions

This dinner is full of dairy and gluten, in fact, it's all about it. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate those dietary restrictions.

Know Before You Go:

  • TIMING: We try to start our events as close to on time as possible. Please arrive on time or a little early. (Doors open 15 min before start time.) We'll guide all guests through a 1.5 hour tasting, leaving an additional 30 min for socializing. Total event time is 2-2.5 hours. 
  • LOCATION: Event will be held in-person at our South Lamar Cheese Tasting Room (1100 South Lamar, Suite 1130).
