Founded by Allison Hooper and Bob Reese, Vermont Creamery has been an award-winning pacesetter in creating artisan cheeses on an increasingly larger scale. Allison spent a summer traveling in France where she worked making cheese in Brittany – and she brought this information home where she began making awesome fresh chevre. It all began in 1984, when Reese was in charge of a dinner that was celebrating Vermont agriculture products and reached out to Allison when he found himself in desperate need for some fresh chevre.  Hooper delivered, and the dinner was such a success, it jump-started a partnership between the two, and Vermont Creamery was born. In French, Bonne Bouche literally means “good mouthful,” and this award-winning cheese lives up to its name. Enjoy it fresh, when the cheese exhibits a mild yet slightly acidic texture and sweet, thin geotrichum rind (the ones that look like little brains), or more aged for a softer, more piquant cheese. Introduced in 2001, this cheese brought home the gold in 2011 at the World Cheese Awards!
