Featured: BBQ and Cheese (South Lamar)
We've been planning this for years. Years! Barbeque & Cheese! After all, we are Texan. (Well, Kendall was born here, but John got here as quickly as he could.)
In fact, we - owners John and Kendall Antonelli - have been pairing all our fave Texas BBQ with cheese for a couple decades. And now, we're sharing that experience with you.
Some cheeses, like a fresh chevre, have a great acidity to them that cuts through the delicious fats of barbeque. Other leaner meats call for the savory and umami bomb notes of washed rinds. Don't know what any of this means? Come taste through this experience yourself, and tell us what you think. Regardless, at the end of the day, you'll have enjoyed some good bbq and cheese. That sounds like a day well lived!
One ticket = one person and includes:
- 5 cheeses
- 5 BBQ pairing bites (pork, sausage, brisket, etc)
- 5 food pairings (like pickled veggies, preserves, and more)
- additional treats like crackers, cornichons, & corn nuts (GF crackers avail if requested in allergies)
Beverages?
While water is provided at the tasting, you may choose to add on our recommended wine flight at the time of ticket purchase (below). Additionally, you may purchase beverages at the event, selecting from wine, beer, cider, sparkling water, and non-alcoholic wine. Note: This is not a BYOB location.
Reserved Seating
We assign seats prior to your event. If you wish to sit with guests who are purchasing separately, we must be notified in advance. At the time of ticket purchase, there is a question prompt for you to list others in your group. Please note that we cannot seat groups larger than 8 at the same table. (Big groups? Know Before You Go:
- TIMING: We try to start our events as close to on time as possible. Please arrive on time or a little early. (Doors open 15 min before start time.) We'll guide all guests through a 2 hour tasting, leaving an additional 30 min for socializing. Total event time is 2.5 hours.
- LOCATION: Event will be held in-person at our South Lamar Cheese Tasting Room (1100 South Lamar, Suite 1130).
